LOUIS XIII cognac was created in 1874. It is blended from many different eaux de vie, the youngest of which is at least 40 years old. Its wine grapes grow in the chalky soils of the Grande Champagne part of the Cognac region. In 2011, the cognac house released a Jeroboam bottling, whose crystal decanter weighs eleven pounds. The decanter is individually numbered and only limited quantities are distributed.
